Any Day Now
Hebrews 10:23-25
23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, 25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
NKJV
I really don’t know the day and time of Christ return, but I’m in good company. No one knows that day and time. The angels don’t know. Not even the Son of God Himself knows. Jesus said, “Of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, but my Father only” Matthew 24:36. What I can tell you is that I look at the events unfolding in this crazy world of chaos, and I firmly believe that the day of Jesus’ return is rapidly approaching.
While we cannot know when Jesus will return, we can know with absolute certainty that He will come back. This is the rapture and it will take place in real time.
1 Thessalonians 4:16-18
16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words
NKJV
Jesus said there will be scoffers, those who do not believe, that will challenge his return. There are those who reason that because Jesus has not returned for 2,000 years, either it won’t happen or we’re misunderstanding what he said. Some people point to Revelation 22:12 where Jesus said, “Behold I am coming quickly.” And they say, “Two thousand years have gone by, and Jesus still hasn’t come back. But look at the Greek word translated “quickly” or “swiftly” or “at a rapid rate.” In context, Jesus was saying that once the world enters the end times, events will progress quickly, and His return will happen very soon.
We are living in a time of great anticipation surrounding the soon return of Christ, but it is also a time of great apostasy. Many antichrists exist in the world, both outside of the church and inside. Social Media is full of bad information regarding the bible, so we must constantly be in the word, so we do not waiver. Jesus warned us about this in the Olivet Discourse.
Matthew 24:3-5
The Signs of the Times and the End of the Age
3 Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”
4 And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many.

When we read the words of Malachi or Zechariah or Hosea, we know they are from the mouth of the Lord. The profit was just a spokesperson. He likely did not understand what he saw and spoke. In fact, in many cases, we understand more today than the prophets ever did about what God is going to do as He brings salvation to the church, discipline to the Jews, and wrath upon the earth. So much of what we see in the prophets and the New Testament seems to indicate that this great Day of the Lord is coming closer and closer.
Never in my life have I seen so many people posting about the return of Jesus on social media, giving testimonies, forming prayer groups, and telling about dreams they have had regarding the last days. Look at what the prophet Joel wrote about this:
Joel 2:28-29
28 “And it shall come to pass afterward
NKJV
That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh;
Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
Your old men shall dream dreams,
Your young men shall see visions.
29 And also on My menservants and on My maidservants
I will pour out My Spirit in those days.
Another key sign of the day approaching will take place in Syria. Isaiah prophesied that Damascus will one day be annihilated:
Isaiah 17:1
17 The burden[a] against Damascus.
“Behold, Damascus will cease from being a city,
NKJV
And it will be a ruinous heap.
Ezekiel 38 tells us of the evil intentions of Russia when it describes how Ros will be led down to Israel as if a hook were put into its jaw. Ros will come down not for the purpose of peace, but plunder. Today, Russians are the number one player in the Syrian civil war, and they don’t even try to hide the fact that they are there primarily for the gas and oil.
Who does Ezekiel say will be aligned with Ros? None other than Persia, which is modern-day Iran. The Iranians’ goal is to be poised on Syria’s border with Israel so that when the attack does come, they will be ready to pour into the Jewish state. Russia also has alliance with Sudan and Libya.
Standing with Israel against these enemies are Jordan, and through an unofficial alliance Saudi Arabia and Egypt. The Saudis signed a secret deal with Israel, saying, “if you want to attach Iran feel free to use our airspace,” They did add a caveat promising that if Israel admitted to the alliance, they would deny it and condemn Israel to the UN. Is this secret alliance with Saudi Arabia spoke of in the Bible? No. But long before the region was called Saudi Arabia, it was called Sheba and Dedan. “Sheba, Dedan, the merchants of Tarshish, and all their young lions will say to you, “Have you come to take plunder? Have you gathered your army to take booty, to carry away silver and gold, to take away livestock and goods, to take great plunder?” Ezekiel 38:13. Saudi Arabia will not join in the attack against Israel because they are allies. But neither will they try to stop it. They will stand by ready to collect the spoils of what they assume will be a devastated nation.
And who is standing there next to the Saudis ready to scavenge? The merchants of Tarshish and all their young lions -Europe (Home of the city of Tarshish) and America (the ferocious young nation that was birthed out of Europe). Some 2,000, 3,000 even 4,000 years ago, God knew the identity of the players on today’s political stage. Using the names of the countries in those times, He explained exactly what his future plans are. He wants us to know his plan.
The news is bleak these days and the whole world is on a downward slide. The Bible says that when you begin to see these things take place, don’t let your head droop down in sorrow. Instead look up – your redemption is drawing near. On the one hand, everything seems to be falling apart… On the other hand, when we look through the lens of Scripture, everything is falling into place. Does that excite you? It should. Jesus is returning for his church, and we could meet him in the clouds any day now.
1 John 2:17
17 And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.
NKJV
